The contribution addressed the aims of the JM Chair IC4EU pedagogical and research activities related to the Industry 5.0 and inclusive communities. The latter is seen as a multidimensional concept addressing societal prosperity beyond the economic growth and needs. It redefines the meaning of industry by emphasising the well-being of employees and a planet within the production processes. It underlines the holistic vision embracing sustainability and resilience of society on the one hand and human-centred approach on the other.

In order to understand factors enabling the twin green and digital transitions, and thus contributing to the scholarly knowledge on the subject, one should consider many different areas of research:  a) companies, start-ups, factories; b) technology developers; c). policy makers or decision makers; c. the general population. Stakeholders and important actors operating those fields should not only be source of data gathering, but active contributors in research problem definition and implementation. On that basis, we emphasize the meaning of the action community research as a source for the self-reflective process and systematic collection of information aiming towards the direct social change.

By deploying action community research techniques in pedagogical process, the IC4EU will assure to develop and test innovative educational tools related materials as a mechanism for implementing the European approach of the Industry 5.0 and improving its global impact.
