Dr. Borut Rončević is a Professor of Sociology at Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto (FIS). He is the head of Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “Technology and Innovations for Agenda 2030 – EU Global Leadership” at FIS (COE 2023-2026). He is also former Jean Monnet Chair on “Cultural Political Economy of Europe 2020” (2016–2019 at FIS), and a Jean Monnet Chair on “Cultural Political Economy of Europe 2030 and its Global Impact” (2020–2023 at SASS). His main research interests include sociological theory, social and cultural factors of European development, EU governance, and regional systems of innovation, with a specific focus on Cultural Political Economy approach. Dr Ladislav Cabada is the Vice-rector for Research, Quality and Development and an Associate professor of Political Science at the Metropolitan University Prague/Czechia. He was Jean Monnet Chair “European Political Integration and History of European Construction Process” (2007– 2010) and president of Czech Association for European Studies (2006– 2009). His research interests include comparative politics of East-Central Europe, regionalism and development studies in Central and South-Eastern Europe, EU-enlargement, Europeanisation, Euroscepticism, populism and nativism, and political anthropology. Dr Romina Gurashi is Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Sociology at "Sapienza" University of Rome. She is Managing Editor of the journal "Rivista Trimestrale di Scienza dell' Amministrazione. Studi di Teoria e Ricerca Sociale", member of many Sociological associations: ISA, ESA, AIS, and ALBSA. Her main research activities focus on the identification of the features of peace economics and the study of the relation between peace and sustainable development: macro, meso and micro processes of social change; smart society and globalisation; social conflict; processes of social recognition and identity through fashion.
Role in the project: an intermediate expert
Dr Cristian Gangaliuc is a teaching assistant at the FIS. His research is focused in the field of innovation and international value chain as a part or regional development theories. His educational background is in data analysis and research design in social sciences, as well as in political sciences, acquired in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The field of expertise include informatics, sociological methodology, digitalisation of society, political theory, analysis of public policy and political parties’ behaviour.

Dr Tea Golob - Chair Holder
Dr Tea Golob is a professor of sociology. She is a head of Institute for Social Morphogenesis at the Faculty of Information Studies (FIS), and a member of the SLO National Management of Social Transformations Committee/UNESCO, and the Slovenian Social Science Association. She was a leader of the project funded by Slovenian Research Agency on sustainability issues, a national team leader of Interreg CE project: INNO WISE, a leader of Inno-Tech Learning project financed by SLO Ministry for education, science and sport and ESF, and two bilateral projects with University of Hawaii at Manoa (USA) related to transnational identifications. She was o coordinator of the Jean Monnet Module Enhancing European Civic Practices and Sustainability (2020-2023). She has also international academic experiences, holding a course for MA students at Metropolitan University of Prague and being a visiting scholar at the Central European University and other prestigious institutions, including USA. Her project and research work is directly related to the topic of digitalisation, EU identities, EU communities and emotional attachments of its citizens on the one hand and sustainable development within EU context on the other, by focusing on social and environmental aspects.
